"What I Wouldn't Give," the debut album from Todd Herzog, revolves around the importance of paying attention to each day and moment in life, a lesson some of us only learn too late. "What I Wouldn't Give" is the journalistic reflection of Todd's own loss of his girlfriend who died of Leukemia.
Inspired by this event, Todd draws upon his musical inspirations and influences to create an "organic Pop/Adult Contemporary" style that reaches out to deliver its clear cut messages.

We all feel grief, sadness and discouragement at times. Todd takes those raw emotions and transforms them into complicated, thoughtful and beautiful images. His voice is plaintive and soothing. You won't ever tire of listening of these songs, because they can be received on many different levels. They can wash over you, or you can bathe in them.
Todd is a poet of transcendence with a gorgeous voice. He takes you from wherever you are to a place of hope.

I just heard about Todd recently through My Space. What a wonderful voice and the lyrics just touch my heart. Reading about how and why he wrote the music really makes you understand what a gift it is for a singer to not only have the technical ability, but the poetic as well. I know the next one (coming out very soon) will be just as amazing.

This CD is amazing - it is uplifting, it is soothing, and it has the perfect balance of upbeat numbers and slower ballads. Todd Herzog communicates through his music like no other artist I've ever known. It evokes emotions and often mental imagery - a waterfall symbolizing a new relationship; a rainstorm symbolizing an argument, etc. It speaks of love and life and what's really important in life. Songs such as "I'll Be Waiting", "What I Wouldn't Give", and "I Guess It Should Rain" explore the concept of persevering during difficult times, while "Out There" and "Listen Close" give great advice about getting in touch with oneself and discovering our purpose for living. Some of the ballads are so beautiful and touching that I am moved to tears. And Todd's voice is so beautiful - expressive and soothing. This CD has helped me to appreciate what's really important in life. Great lyrics, great melodies, great vocals - I highly, highly recommend it!
